By Name is built by Gabe Carter as a personal productivity app. This policy explains how the app handles your information. The short version: it doesn't collect any.

Data Collection

By Name does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All names, notes, and app settings are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. No data ever leaves your device.

No Analytics

The app contains no analytics, tracking, or telemetry of any kind.

No Third-Party Services

By Name does not integrate with any third-party services, advertising networks, or data brokers.

No Account Required

The app does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or sign in to any service.

Data Storage

All data is stored on-device only. If you delete the app, all data is permanently deleted. The app does not use iCloud sync.

Siri Integration

When you use Siri voice commands, your voice input is processed by Apple's Siri framework. By Name does not have access to your voice recordings. The processed text is stored locally on your device.

Notifications

The app may send local notifications for reminders you configure. These are scheduled entirely on-device and do not involve any external server.

Children's Privacy

By Name does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
